The Southern Sal Created by (T.Holland) is a bold and citrusy cocktail that blends the smooth, fruity notes of Southern Comfort with the bright zest of limoncello. A touch of fresh lime and brown sugar add a balanced sweetness and tang, while Midori brings a hint of melon for a unique twist. Refreshing yet rich, it’s a vibrant cocktail with a Southern kick.

To make a Southern Sal, you’ll need:

  • Rocks glass (or an old-fashioned glass)
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger (for measuring)
  • Muddler
  • Ice cubes

Ingredients

  • 35ml - Iannetelli limoncello
  • 50ml - Southern Comfort
  • 15ml - fresh lime juice
  • 15ml - Midori
  • Brown Suger
  • Ice cubes

Garnish

  • Lime Slice

Method

  1. Add a few lime wedges and a small amount of brown sugar into a glass. Use a muddler to gently crush the lime and sugar, releasing the flavours.
  2. Then fill the glass with ice cubes to chill the drink.
  3. Pour in 35ml limoncello and 50ml Southern Comfort.
  4. Add a splash of Midori on the top for a hint of melon sweetness.
  5. Garnish with a lime wheel or twist, and enjoy!
